B. Pharm. (Bachelor of Pharmacy) Admission 2023-2024

Dibrugarh University has released an Official admission Notice for Four Years (Eight Semester) Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) Programme for the academic session 2023-2024.


Educational Qualification for Admission :- 

  • Pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination (Science) of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or any other examination recognized by Dibrugarh University as equivalent to this examination with English, Physics , Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics as the subjects.
  • Pass in Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy examination from any institute of Assam recognized by the PCI and AICTE. 

Eligibility:- 

Eligibility for Four Years B. Pharm. (Bachelor of Pharmacy) Programme 2023-2024 

1. Seats under States Sponsored Category of Assam:- The seats under the category of State Sponsored seats of Assam shall be filled up with the candidates having valid PRC of Assam with the Educational Qualification given above in Educational Qualification section.

2. Seats under States Sponsored Category of  North -Eastern State other than Assam:- The seats under this category shall be filled up with the candidates sponsored by the concerned North-Eastern States other than Assam with eligibility conditions as stated above in Educational Qualification section.

3. Seats under Endowment category:- Candidates from any States with eligibility conditions as stated in above Educational Qualification section may apply and will be selected on the basis of merit.

4. Admission through Lateral Entry in B.Pharm. 3rd Semester with D. Pharm. qualification under Endowment Category :- No of vacant seats:- 05

  Candidates from any States with Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy from any institute recognized by the PCI  and AICTE. Selection will be based on merit and performance in the interview.

5. Seats under EWS category against Endowment seats (supernumerary):- No of seats:- 05

Candidates eligibility conditions as stated in above Educational Qualification section may apply and will be selected on the basis of merit.


Important Dates for Online Application for B. Pharm. 1st Semester :- 

Submission of online application started from:- 22.05.2023
Last Date of Submission of Application:- 30.06.2023 (till 11.55 pm) 

Application & Admission Fee:-  

Application Fee at the time of online apply  :-  Rs 750/-

The selected candidates shall have to take admission on the date of councelling by paying the necessary admission fee through online mode only (intent banking/ debit card/ credit card etc) as shown below-

A. State Category:- Rs 6,188/- Per year approx.

B. Endowment category:- Rs 48,788/- Per year approx.

C. Hotel Admission Fee (If alloted) :- Rs 2,900/- Per year approx.

Application Procedure for B. Pharm Programme, academic session 2023-2024 :- 

1. Application for B. Pharm. Programme shall be through online mode only. No other means of application shall be accepted.

2. For online application, please login to Admission Portal, given below in Important Links section.

3. The candidates need to register on the Portal by clicking the "Register" button and providing hos/her name, Mobile no and password. The Mobile number will be verified by an OTP. Please remember the password for login.

4. After successful registration, the candidate need to login using his/her mobile number and the password.

5. After login the candidate need to click on the "Apply" button corresponding to the link of "B. Pharm. programme"  which will be lead to an application form. The candidate need to fill up the application form step by step.

6. After completion of feeling up the form Candidates need to click the button "Submit and Review". A preview of the fill-up form will be displayed. Candidates are advised to carefully cross-check the information and if anything needs to be corrected at this stage, they can go back and edit. 

7. After ensuring that all the information displayed on the Preview is correct, the candidate need to click "Pay now & Submit the application"  and pay the application fee of Rs 750 only through online mode. 

8. The application form will be considered finally submitted only when the application fee is successfully paid by the candidate and an online receipt is generated confirming the payment.

9. There will be a button to download your Application Form for future reference.

10. The submission of Online Application Form shall be automatically closed after the last date. 

Additional information for Admission to B. Pharm. 1st Semester at Dibrugarh University, academic session 2023-2024:- 

  1. Candidates seeking admission against seats reserved for SC/ST must submit certificate of caste issued by the Competent Government Authorities.
  2. Candidates seeking admission against seats under Lateral Entry in B. Pharm 3rd semester must submit completion certificate of hospital training issued by the Competent authority.
  3. For the reserved seats 'Wards of Assam Rifles Personnel', the candidates have to send copy of bonafide certificate from Competent authority through email to the following email id: office_pharmsc@dibru.ac.in. In case of non availability of the candidates the seats will be opened for General Category students.
  4. Incomplete or late receipt of applications will not be entertained.
  5. Sort Listed candidates will be called for councelling at the department of Pharmaceutical Science, Dibrugarh University. No TA/DA is admissible for the purpose.
  6. Candidates selected for hostel seat must take hotel admission on specified date.
  7. Statutory Reservation Policy shall be followed as per the rules of the University.
